"Orenda" by Laura Barbato | Best Micro Short | Adbhooture Film Festival Edition 3
Here goes the exclusive interview with the director/writer/editor of "Orenda" Laura Barbato. "Orenda" won the title of Best Micro Short in Adbhooture Film Festival Edition 3.
“Orenda” is a microfilm clocking in at 2 minutes and 3 seconds. The concept behind Orenda came to me after seeing how the media, with its shock-value headlines, was affecting people mentally during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The media, seemingly, was only reporting on death, doom, and destruction--not necessarily facts, during a time where most of us were looking for real answers. The impact on millions of people, mentally, was devastating. Orenda was filmed on an iPhone 11 during “quarantine” with only one actress, one crew member (Director/Writer/Editor), and has been well received by the horror community.
